Dear Baby,
The doctors are going to open me up today and take out this silly cyst that doesn't need to be there. While they're doing that, I want you to keep on doing what you’re doing, lying there on your back, waving your arms and legs around, and pay no attention to all this business.
I promise to stay healthy and strong and brave and you have to promise the same, okay? Our first promise. That we’ll help each other get through this. As long as you keep kicking away in there, I promise to stay strong while they take the cyst away.
I already can’t wait to meet you in June and I don’t want this silly, old cyst to get in the way of that. I don’t intend to let it. So, kiddo, please know that no matter what happens, your dad and I are here, being strong and waiting for you.
Love,
Mom
